The notorious Tooter Pie is an old fashion meringue pie. The pie is a family recipe that dates back in the town of Somerset, KY as far back as the 1940’s. Mildred “Tooter” Phelps, as shown above, grew up around the famous recipe created by her mother Mama Ping. Today the pie is carried out through family roots by Jami Dobbs, Tooters daughter and owner of the restaurant.
